Warehouse Operative – Chippenham

Job Description

Responsive Personnel are pleased to be working with a local company who are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their team due to business growth. As a warehouse Operative you will be working alongside the rest of the warehouse team, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. This is a very active role with heavy lifting involved using manual handling aids.

Location: Chippenham, SN15
Shift: Monday – Friday | 12:15 – 20:15 Initial training will be on a 08:00 – 16:00 shift.

**Due to location, own transport (including car, moped, motorbike) will be required
as there are no public transport links**

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Carefully load, unload, and move heavy goods, including sofas, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Move pallets as required throughout the distribution center.
  • Receive and sort customer returns.
  • Pick goods according to order specifications, preparing them for shipment.
  • Label goods accurately as required.
  • Scan materials into and out of locations in line with company procedures to maintain inventory accuracy.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Able to handle and move heavy goods safely.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Good understanding and experience working with warehouse management systems.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards.
