Purchasing Administrator

Job Description

Responsive Personnel are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator. This role is key to ensuring the accurate process of purchase orders, maintaining supplier records and supporting the efficient supply chain operations.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 09:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and queries
  • Ensure purchase order details are accurate and up to date
  • Track deliveries and follow up on outstanding or delayed orders
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records
  • Match purchase orders with delivery notes and invoices
  • Support the procurement team with general administrative tasks
  • Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies in collaboration with finance

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or administrative role
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for email correspondence
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and purchasing or ERP systems
  • Desirable: Experience using procurement or accounting software
  • Desirable: Understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes
  • Desirable: Experience working with suppliers or vendors
