Counterbalance Forklift Driver – Sharpness

Full Time | Temp to Perm|Sharpness

Job Description

Responsive Personnel are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence to join a busy and growing warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills, with full training provided to become a qualified Bendi (Flexi) Forklift Driver.

Location: Sharpness, GL13
Shift: Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 16:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload goods
  • Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries
  • Loading and unloading vehicles in accordance with health and safety procedures
  • Transporting materials to designated storage locations
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management
  • Conducting daily forklift checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and reporting discrepancies
  • Keeping the warehouse and yard areas clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Supporting general warehouse duties when required
  • Following all company procedures and safety guidelines at all times

Key Skills and Experience

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Previous forklift driving experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to assist with general warehouse duties when required
